couldn't finish it cuz my brother was singing at the top of his lungs just to annoy me

Books
Dozens and dozens
Of books
Their pages rustling
Just waiting to be opened
The way they seem to speak
To call out
Read Me!
Read Me!
Between their covers
An undescovered story
An undescovered truth

Just The Way It Is

I know that life
Has its ups and downs
But why does it seem
That my life is full
Of more downs than ups
Between
School
Friends
Family
My life is like
An emotional rollercoaster
Laughs
Cries
Sorrow
Hurt
Happiness
Jelousy
I'm not satisfied with my life
Yet i don't hate it either
I guess
My lifes great
Just the way it is

need help w/ a title

To say the very least
You were my life
I cared so much about you
That it hurt me deeply
In the end
I know things happen for a reason
But i can't figure out
The reason why you left
Was it me
Was it you
Or was it some stupid other factor
That changed my heart forever
I need to know
Please
If you'll just tell me
I can change
You still might not want me
But at least i'll know
And i'll feel better inside
I might finally be able
To let you go
The many times i've tried
Have always caused me heartache
But it might be different
This time
I've left my heart with you
And only you can decide
What to do with it

We The People

We the people
Had a dream
A dream that one day
We could all live together
In harmony
We the people
Wrote the words
That built a nation
Wrote the words
We now live by
We the people
Had a call to freedom
Life is for the living
So live your life greatly
We the people
Heard the words
"Yes We Can"
And a miracle
Now rules the nation
We the people
Have ideas
And we the people
Can change the world

Our Time to Shine

The chitter and chatter
is overpowering
the many voices blending together
becoming one
it all goes quiet
then suddenly
from nowhere
a light shines bright
it focuses on the instruments
the shining brass instruments
the glossy wooden ones
the people playing them
are smiling proudly
not showing the jitterys
that are building up inside
with a wave
of the conducters wand
a sweet melody is played
then it gets louder
with more instruments coming in
the song seams to run
around and around
surrounding the audiance
with its sound
then suddenly the wand stops
all is quiet
we take a bow
smiling broadly
the defening clappter
vibrates through the hall
as it dies down
the lights shut off
and the buzz of voices
starts up again

Whispered Words

Across the paper
Scribbles a pen
A wisper here
A quiet laugh there
Surrounded by words
Dozens and dozens of words
Jingle and jangle
Wiggle and waggle
All is quiet
except for the scratching
not just of my pen
but of many
then soon the silence is shattered
by loud, ringing laughs
heads turn
eyes search
for the source of the noise
they all see the threesom
the inseperable trio
and automaticly know
their the source of the laughter
they smile and turn
back to their papers
their thoughts put to words
the teacher smiles
she knows us well
we smile sheepishly
and the scribbling continues

First Day

Screams of delight
reach my ears
Noodle!!They scream
I smile broadly
A pink hue to my cheeks
Happy to be here
But hate being
the center
of attention
We catch up
Gossip
Laugh
Talk about whats been happining
Since the last time we met
Suddenly all goes quiet
We concentrate on our mentor
As she greets us one and all
Then the fun begins
She looks at every one of us
Greets the newcomers
and jokes with the oldies
At first she doesn't recocnize
The girl with the
Short
Straight hair
Last time she saw her
her hair was in long frizzy curls
But of course my friends butt in
And then more pink rises to my cheeks
As once again i am called Noodle
Everyone stares
Thinking
is that her real name?
But soon all settles down
and the writing begins

need help w/ a title

Those days were alwasy the best of days
Back when all we were worried about
Was how our writing was turning out
No school, no crushes
Just plain old fun
Noah, Mara, Maddie, Bela, Gina, Maria and me
The foose ball machine our destination
After every lunch
The way we laughed and goofed off
Eating ice cream and soda
How I was Noodle then
Not Kenzie or Mackenzie
Those times were always looked forward to
A whole new type of fun
Sure people thought it was goofy
To waste your summer at a writing camp
But they hadn't experienced the special times
The laughs, the crys
That we all shared
Those days were alwasy the best of days
Full of writing and friendship
But everything has to end sometime
And so it did
The laughter, the writing, the fooseball table
The ice cream and soda
Yet these memories still live on in my heart
And will never ever fade.
